Silk Hanky 100gm

Our Mulberry Silk Hankies come in fine layers looking a little like millefiori pastry but with frilly edges. Each hankie is a cocoon stretched out into a square approximately 26 x 26 cm. 100g of hankies make a stack very approximately 2 cm deep.

You can split the stack into fine layers of one or two hankies and combine them with wool for wet felting and needle felting.

If you stretch them out into long rovings they are easy to spin. And you can knit directly from the roving or you can use them in silk papermaking as a background for embroidery.
